he HADCO Group of Companies required a design for their large category booth at the Building & Industry Trade Show 2007. A design for the booth layout along with furniture designs were delivered to the client for a unique visitor experience.
All furnishings – sofas, tables, chairs, kitchen and storage units were designed by the architect, Linda A. Louison and executed by Custom Interiors Limited, then a subsidiary company of the HADCO Group of Companies. All products exhibited, including all lighting fixtures, were marketed by the HADCO Group of Companies.
This project won the prize for the ‘Best Large Category Booth’ of this BITS year, making it the 3rd win for the architect, Linda A. Louison, in the design of exhibition booths.
The architect’s first two prizes for the design of exhibition booths were for the design of a booth for Reed Monza (water tanks) back in 1997 and the second win, was the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for the design proposal for the new Tru Valu Supermarket, Long Circular Mall, under the auspices of TMC Architecture Ltd, led by architect Thomas McCartney. At the time, TMC Architecture was a subsidiary company of the HCL Group of Companies.
This design employed multiple yards of transparent white draping from the apex of the exhibition halls at the Center of Excellence, Macoya, Trinidad & Tobago.
The built industry’s highly anticipated annual Building, Interiors, Technology and Safety (BITS) Trade Show, which was in its sixth year, was presented by Premier Events Caribbean Limited, the organizers of the event.
